ENVIRONMENT
CIKEL The project is located in the Rio Capim Complex (RCC) in the eastern part of the Amazon. The main activity of the CIKEL Brazilian Amazon REDD APD Project consists of cancelling planned deforestation activities and deciding to conserve the forest area, continuing with limited forest management activities certified under the Forest Stewardship Council® (FSC®) standard, through low-impact logging practices.
FLORESTA VERDE The project is located on private land in the state of Pará, Brazil. It consists of three separate land blocks, covering a total of 53,528 hectares. The goal of the project is to prevent unplanned deforestation and promote the natural regeneration of an Amazon forest area situated in one of the country's most vulnerable regions.

COMMUNITY
CIKEL The project contributes to the sustainable socio economic development of the Amazon region by creating skilled local jobs and promoting the responsible use of natural resources. Through public consultations, it involves indigenous and rural communities, encouraging participation and monitoring of sustainable practices. The project also includes technical training in safety, environment, and forest management, and collaborations with scientific institutions to support research and environmental education.
FLORESTA VERDE The local communities living around the protected area — about 40 families — are actively involved. They are trained in sustainable farming practices, employed to work on forest regeneration, and supported with essential services: eco-friendly stoves to reduce harmful smoke, access to clean water, education, and medical care. Special attention is given to women's empowerment: at least 15 women receive training, jobs, and tools to improve their economic and social conditions.

BIODIVERSITY
Regenerating the forest also means rebuilding a healthy ecosystem. The project protects numerous animal and plant species, some of which are critically endangered. The “ecological corridors” created between forest areas allow animals to move safely and restore the natural balance of the territory. Furthermore, by improving soil and water resource management, the project contributes to creating a more stable microclimate, reducing the risk of drought, erosion, and loss of fertility.
